An emergency can happen any time, kids are not aware of the outcomes of their actions and they don’t know how to react in an emergency. An informed kid can able to tackle the situation calmly when a fire strikes because he knows what to expect and what action to take. By learning about fire safety your child can reduce the risk for fire. Parents and teachers must teach children, some specific strategies for a fire emergency which helps to keep children safe. *KNOWLEDGE ABOUT DANGER:
An informed child will able to tackle the situation more confidently in case of an emergency. Tell your children some basic fire facts and teach them how to face the situation gently in case of a fire emergency.

*CHECK DOOR HEAT:
Instruct your child to check the door, if the door is hot don’t open it and find another way to go outside. Hot doors can spread more fire. *USE SENSES NOT EYES TO FEEL WAY:
Children must know every part of their house or school by heart to feel the way In an emergency. Tell your child that there will be dark and they in case of fire so they don’t get upset at that time remember their escape plans and use their senses to feel the way to outside. Play eye covering games with your child to develop their feeling powers.
*SING A SONG:
Teach your child a fire escape song and sing it in a good tune to encourage them to go out from the burning place.
*STOP DROP AND ROLL:
Teach your child Stop, Drop, and Roll activity and act it with them. Many fire-related injuries can be minimized if children do this Stop, Drop, and Roll activity instead of running.
*ONCE OUT MEANS STAY OUT:
Instruct your children strickly that never go inside again, once you came out from the burning area. If there is any pet or anything else they leave inside tell them to ask a firefighter rather than going inside himself.
*PRACTICE MONTHLY:
Practice your escape fire plan at least once a month, because the repetition of practice will help your child to remember all the steps and guidance by heart, and in case of an emergency they will not get confused.
